  • Comments: Though technically not an alteration of the original portrait from Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, I did use the same model as the original artist. When I learned of the addition of new characters in both games, I was looking forward to the new portraits. They were a bit of a disappointment. While I do like them as individual pieces of art, I don’t like the fact that they don’t blend in well with the original portraits. Hexxat’s in particular was very out of place compared to the original Baldur’s Gate II portraits. This re-envisioning models their same washed-out look, and though it’s still dark at the full size seen below, the bitmap versions are optimized to blend in with the default portraits.

  1. Great portrait! Gonna replace the EE version with this one 🙂

Looking forward to Neera and Rassad’s. Keep up good work!

  2. I’ve not commented on this before, but I just wanted to thank you for your efforts! This is the best custom portrait I’ve ever seen for BG, and I’ve used it consistently ever since you posted it!
