When asked about his past, Altan gets a distant look on his face. He says he was born to a merchant family in Calimport, but left the city as a runaway when he was young. Following a near-death experience in the desert, he turned to the worship of Shaundakul. Since then, he’s traveled around Faerun. For the last few years, he’s been running caravans along the Sword Coast. He speaks of recent events with fondness and good cheer, but seems disinclined to reveal more about his distant past.
